Summary

On April 18, 1954, at 2320 local time, lights were reported over Stewart Air Force Base, New York. Two reliable observers reported the sighting from different points. The report was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.

The witnesses described two rotating white lights about the size of landing lights. There was no detail, no sound, and no exhaust. The lights moved back and forth over the air base two or three times at about 50 mph at roughly 300 to 500 feet, then were seen at about 10,000 feet.
