Summary

On August 1, 1958, at 9:05 a.m. in St. Louis, Missouri, a civilian observer reported seeing a pinpoint of light that disappeared suddenly. The initial observation placed the object at 225 degrees azimuth. It disappeared at 225 degrees azimuth at an elevation of 45 degrees. The sighting lasted two minutes. The observer was looking in the direction of Lambert Airport when the light rose suddenly and then disappeared. Weather conditions were cloudy and raining.
