Summary

On July 1, 1951, at 10:50 p.m. local time, four Air Force pilots in different areas near Seoul, Korea simultaneously reported a large green ball traveling at tremendous speed. The object was described as very bright with trailing streaks of red that soon turned blue. It passed overhead at 10-15,000 feet on a north-northeast heading. Pilot locations at the time of sighting included one F4U-5N at 10:70 hours, one F4U-5N at 10:20 hours, and one F7F-5N at 20:10 hours. The pilots noted the object was moving with tremendous velocity. The Air Force evaluated the sighting as a meteor.
