Summary

On October 16, 1951, near Anchorage, Alaska, a witness reported an object in the sky. It first appeared to be an aircraft, then looked like a star. The object was blue-white in color and moved from the area of the moon, traveling from north toward Anchorage.

The witness said the object's movement was not steady and that it stopped for about 5 seconds during the sighting. The Air Force evaluated the case as a probable aircraft sighting.
