Summary

On February 25, 1960, a UFO was sighted from three aircraft over Japan at coordinates 34N 1130-30E, 35N 1149E, and 35-12N 1144-25E. The object appeared at an altitude of 5,700 feet. Two aircraft observers reported the sighting to military officials. The Air Force evaluation noted that the object was evaluated as a probable meteor by reporting officials. The Japanese Weather Bureau evaluated the sighting as a meteor. A Japanese pilot thought the object was a missile.
