Summary

On the evening of June 11, 1954, a husband and wife in East Pasadena, California, saw a red object in the sky. They reported it at about 9:00 p.m. The object flew at about the speed of an airplane. It left no vapor trail and had no blinking lights. It seemed to sway back and forth, and at times moved then stopped.

The witnesses heard no noise. A few minutes later they saw a plane going the same direction, and that plane left a vapor trail. The report came from civilian witnesses. The Air Force record card listed nothing that conflicted with an aircraft as the cause.
