On July 2, 1956, at 3:01 a.m., a military pilot at Naval Air Station North Island, California, reported sighting one object with a teardrop shape and tapered end at the bottom. The object was silver in color, about the size of a silver dollar, and appeared to have ropes hanging down. The sighting was accidental and showed very little movement.
