On April 12, 1959, an unidentified flying object was reported over the Montreal-Quebec area near coordinates 45 31 N - 73 25 W. The object was described as a red light that hovered in the sky. 10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING
Red light, hanging to hang in sky for a few mins, then darted North at very high speed. Description of obj varied w/witnesses.

11. COMMENTS
The RCAF investigated the incident and found nothing of significance. The obj was not picked up by radar units that cover the area. It is believed on ice-breaker in the St. Lawrence river channel was operating a spot or searchlight.
