Summary

On November 19, 1957, two separate sightings were reported to Project Blue Book. In Louisville, Kentucky, a civilian observed one oblong white object with a red stripe moving very fast for 15 minutes in the eastern direction. The object had been visible for approximately one week prior to the report. In Bedford, Indiana, also on November 19, 1957, a civilian saw one round white to red object the size of a dime that remained stationary for 20 minutes. The Air Force concluded both sightings were probably Venus based on the description, duration, and flight path characteristics.
