Ft. Thomas, KentuckyOctober 1956
Summary
On October 14, 1956, around 1:30 p.m., a witness in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky saw one object low in the northeast sky. It was about the size of a nickel at arm's length and gun metal gray in color. It had no wings or tail. The object appeared to stay still for about a minute. The witness watched it for about one minute. This was a civilian, ground visual report.
The file also includes related accounts the same day from nearby Ohio. One witness driving on a highway saw a reddish orange object that traveled north for at least a minute, then turned straight up and vanished. Another account describes a brilliant object seen while driving. Photographs were said to have been taken by one observer.
The report was filed on Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. The card lists the conclusion as insufficient data for evaluation.
