Insufficient Data

Summary

On September 22, 1953, about 2055 (8:55 p.m.), a military officer and civilians saw an object over Lawton, Oklahoma. The witness was an Army captain, along with several unidentified civilians living nearby. The report came through Army channels.

The object appeared conical in shape and showed a white light that outlined the whole object. An exhaust trailed behind it that was about three times the length of the object. It appeared to fly in a straight line from southeast to northwest.

The report noted that the size and altitude of the object were not given. The Air Force listed the case as insufficient data for evaluation, finding the information received was too brief.
