Summary

On April 22, 1955, someone in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, saw a white, round object with sharp edges standing still in the sky for about a minute. Then it rose slowly. The sighting lasted roughly four minutes. The Air Force investigated through Flight 3F of the 4602nd AISS (Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron). Their conclusion was straightforward: the object was a Piper Cub airplane.
