Summary

On July 23, 1956, in Hollywood, California, one observer reported seeing a circular object the size of a dime. The object was light green in color and moved very fast at approximately 20,000 feet altitude. The sighting lasted three seconds. The observer was scanning for aircraft at 275 degrees from their position when the object went out of sight. Weather conditions were clear and balmy with a full moon and good visibility. Wind was 20,000 feet at 18 knots. The Air Force evaluated the sighting as unidentified.
