Summary

On November 5, 1957, at dusk near Hilton, New York, a civilian observer reported seeing one bright flashing white light moving east on a straight course. The object was in sight for three minutes and was located about 5 to 6 miles north of the observer's post. The light was described as white, becoming brighter then returning to normal brightness. An aircraft landing at Rochester was noted in the report. The Air Force concluded the sighting was probably caused by an aircraft.
