Summary

On September 29, 1952, two circular objects five inches in diameter were sighted in England. The objects were initially stationary, then moved off at high speed and disappeared into clouds. The sighting lasted three minutes. A Royal Air Force fighter was in the area about ten minutes before the sighting. The objects were described as flat in shape with no exhaust and traveling at speeds above Mach 1. An observer watched them for three to four minutes at distances between 5,000 and 8,000 feet. Very clear visibility existed at the time, with cumuli clouds at 2,000 to 3,000 feet. No aerial activity occurred during the sighting, though a British RAF fighter was seen near Sherness eight to ten minutes before. Rochester Police reported the sighting. The Air Force evaluation was not determined.
