Insufficient Data

Summary

On September 23, 1957, at 9:40 p.m., a military observer at Havre Air Force Station in Montana sighted a round object about the size of a pea held at arm's length. The object moved from 15 degrees elevation down to 10 degrees elevation during an azimuth heading of 265 to 270 degrees and displayed irregular motion with inversion. The sighting lasted 45 minutes. No ephemeris data for Venus, Jupiter, or bright stars matched the observation. The Air Force determined the case was astronomical in nature, likely a star or planet.
