Summary

On September 26, 1956, a civilian near Hanover, Kansas reported a bright light larger than a star but smaller than the moon. The card lists the time group as 0104Z.

The Air Force noted the report was of poor quality but said the object was very likely the planet Venus, which was in that part of the sky at that time of the morning. Venus was at about 20 degrees elevation and 090 degrees azimuth. The conclusion was astronomical.
