Summary

On September 28, 1956, a civilian near Hancock, Maine reported one object that was long and tapered, about one foot long as seen from a distance. It had a red and yellow glow. The lead light was steady and the rear light pulsated. The object moved from southeast to northeast.

There was one aircraft in the area at the time of the sighting. The Air Force concluded the sighting was caused by an aircraft.
