Summary

On a daytime date in February 1957 at Georgetown, Massachusetts, a civilian reported seeing several objects. The account came to the Air Force through a lengthy FBI report. The case was logged under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. The exact time, duration, and number of objects were unknown.

The long report mostly laid out theories about flying saucers and made only brief mention of the sighting. The source said that a few days after reading books by self-described saucer experts, he saw a group of saucers in a clear blue sunlit sky. About half an hour later he said he saw two more in more detail.

The Air Force card noted that only the date was firmly established. Files showed no other reports of strange objects for that date or area. The card described the source as a strong believer in saucers and treated the limited report as colored by that belief.
