Summary

On September 6, 1955, a civilian in Dorchester, Massachusetts reported a round object seen for about five minutes. The OCR of the description is unclear, but the object was watched three separate times at about five minutes each before it disappeared behind trees. It was traveling toward the southwest.

The Air Force said the object met the criteria for an aircraft landing at Logan International Airport in Boston. The decreasing altitude, circling, and the manner of disappearance supported this. The conclusion was probable aircraft.
