On December 8, 1956, an observer near Chandler Air Force Station, Minnesota, reported a single round object. The sighting was logged under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. The object was white turning to green and looked about the size of a baseball held at arm's length.

The witness said the object came toward the earth at about 20 degrees, then leveled off and started a slight climb before fading. It was watched for 20 to 30 seconds. There was no sound and no trail.
