Summary

On October 4, 1952, a civilian woman near Albany, New York, reported one circular object. The Ground Observer Corps relayed the report. The object was described as circular, large, and one in number.

The object moved at an unusually fast speed and made no sound. It circled once and then headed north. It was in sight about 30 seconds.

Weather was very clear with a slight southwest wind. No other known object was in the area at that time. The record card notes the sighting occurred about 14 minutes after the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Albany released a pilot balloon. The conclusion is listed as possibly balloon.
