On November 12, 1960, a civilian pilot for Eastern Airlines reported sighting an unidentified object 50 nautical miles north of Louisville, Kentucky, at 12:13 a.m. The pilot described a white object resembling a rocket or missile with a white tail or exhaust, flying at low trajectory at approximately 20,000 feet.
