Summary

On April 10, 1958, five miles west of Pecos, Texas, a civilian witness reported seeing a diamond-shaped object in an upright position. The object was fifty feet wide and seventy-five feet high, bright and shiny like aluminum. The witness heard a sound like a jet engine. The object rotated about sixty cycles per minute and hovered for a few minutes at forty-five thousand to fifty thousand feet. It then climbed straight up about two thousand feet and slowly veered off to the northwest. The sighting lasted five minutes. The Air Force evaluated the object as unknown.
