Summary

On 11 August 1952, a civilian observer in Phoenix, Arizona reported seeing an unidentified flying object between 0055Z and 0110Z. The witness observed two lights from his home porch. One light was larger, elliptical in shape, and yellow in color with its lower axis vertical. The other light was smaller, round, and pink in color, positioned slightly below and to the left of the larger object. The observer stated both objects appeared brighter than surrounding stars. He could not estimate altitude or speed and reported no sound. His wife and son also witnessed the phenomenon. Weather conditions were clear with 12 to 15 mile visibility. The Air Force office could offer no definite explanation, but noted the witness reliability was uncertain.
