Summary

On April 14, 1962, an observer in the Pacific (about 42-51N 157W) reported one object described as a satellite. The object was moving to the northeast and was described as very fast. The Air Force compared the position with the known track of the Echo I satellite, which was at 44N 163-15W heading northeast and was visible from that location at the reported time. The record card concluded the sighting was Echo I.
