Summary

On April 11, 1962, a crew aboard a ship in the Atlantic (about 31-11N 65-43W) reported one bright white object moving at about 1,000 miles per hour. The object appeared to burn up in the atmosphere. Two unidentified aircraft were also in the area. The duration was not given. The Air Force said there was nothing to indicate the object was anything other than a meteor. The record card concluded the sighting was a meteor.
