Summary

On May 13, 1954, at about 10:45 a.m. local time over the Pacific Ocean, a military aircrew on a C-124 flying from Hickam to Travis reported one object for about five minutes. The crew saw a bright light moving to the left, parallel with their aircraft. They blinked their aircraft lights at the object, and the object appeared to signal back. After about five minutes, the object moved away to the northeast at very rapid speed while climbing. The weather was partly cloudy with clear conditions above. The report noted nothing that conflicted with an aircraft explanation. The Air Force conclusion was aircraft.
