Summary

On January 9, 1956, a light was seen about 20 miles southwest of Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois. The Greenwich time was 0120Z on January 10. The sighting was made from the air at night. The observer was a civilian whose name was not given.

The object was a light that changed from red to green to white. It was at about 2,000 feet. Little other detail was reported. A T-6 aircraft based at Chanute went to the general area, searched, and found nothing.
