Summary

On November 7, 1957, at 7:24 p.m. local time, a civilian in Winston Salem, North Carolina reported seeing a disc-shaped object the size of a silver dollar, white in color, with stubnosed ends. The object was very bright. The sighting lasted approximately four minutes. One object was observed. The witness was on the ground. The object moved northwest and into a cloud bank during the observation. The CAA control tower at Winston Salem reported it could have been one of any number of aircraft in that area at that time. The Air Force evaluation listed the conclusion as probably aircraft.
