Project Blue Book Case File
West Union, OhioNovember 1962
Summary
On November 29, 1962, a resident of West Union, Ohio reported seeing a glowing object in the night sky. The observer watched the object for approximately 30 minutes. The object displayed green and red lights. The sighting was reported to the staff duty officer, but little additional information was recorded.
The Air Force's formal evaluation concluded that the object was likely a balloon. The case file itself contains sparse details. The questionnaire forms included in the file are largely incomplete or illegible in the available microfilm scan, making it difficult to extract specific information about the object's behavior, the observer's location, weather conditions at the time, or other investigative findings that might have been recorded.
The full case file is reproduced below as held by the National Archives across 10 pages of microfilm.
