Summary

On November 8, 1957, at 12:01 a.m. in Waverly, Illinois, a civilian witness reported seeing an object larger than an airplane with white and green coloring. The object had fuzzy or blurred edges, no tail or exhaust, and made no sound. It appeared solid. The object pulled into a driveway, was seen from true north at a 90-degree angle from the top, and orbited out of view after 20 minutes. The sighting was ground-visual with binoculars. On November 9, 1957, there was no trace of daylight in Waverly, Illinois. An age-unknown druggist and 15 other people saw the same object, but information was not given. No trace was found. The Air Force concluded the report was garbled and could not be evaluated.
