Summary

On January 28, 1953, at about 7:13 p.m., a civilian saw an object while driving on the St. Georges Bridge near St. Georges, Delaware. The report reached the Air Force by phone from a civilian group described as a flying saucer investigative association.

The object was reported as disc shaped, rose orange in color, and shiny. The witness said it was about seven inches across at arm's length. When first seen it was heading south, then it made a complete turn and headed north. The object kept alternating its course from north to south.

The object was visible for about 12 minutes and was estimated to be traveling about 130 miles per hour. The observers watched it with field glasses. They said it made no sound and left no vapor trail, though it appeared to have a white tail.

The record notes the sources were members of a civilian saucer investigating group. The card lists the conclusion as unreliable report.
