Summary

On the night of November 6, 1954, military observers reported objects over New Castle Air Force Base, Delaware. The objects were seen three times over about 3 to 4 minutes and were said to move fast.

There were two objects shaped like derby hats. The dome of each was white, and there were three blue lights on the bottom part. The objects behaved erratically.

The Air Force record listed the conclusion as probably aircraft. The investigation found the sighting could have been two private aircraft, which do not require clearance for such flights. The case was filed as part of Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.
