Insufficient Data

Summary

On November 11, 1962, in Silver Spring, Maryland, a witness reported a streak of light in the sky. The witness also took a time-exposure photograph of the event. The report was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record system for unidentified flying object reports.

The light traveled horizontally across the sky, then turned upward and exploded.

The Air Force said the description pointed to a meteor sighting. Because a photograph was taken, the record noted the equipment would be examined, but the case was treated as a meteor.
