Insufficient Data

Summary

On February 12, 1963, a civilian in Phoenix, Arizona, reported four small round glowing dots crossing his view. The sighting was at about 10:55 p.m. local time. The man was lying in bed and looking up through a ceiling skylight that measured 4 by 8 feet. The sky was clear.

The four dots crossed the skylight in about one and a half seconds, moving from the southwest to the east. They were arranged in a formation and had no trails, exhaust, or sound. The witness believed they were extremely high, higher than jet flight. He had seen jets follow a similar path but much more slowly.

The Air Force, in its Project 10073 record, noted the glowing dots could suggest a bolide, but that the witness said the speed was too fast for aircraft. With no known traffic in the area, the case was listed as insufficient data for evaluation.
