Summary

On August 5, 1958, at 8:22 p.m., Captain J. S. Morrison, a pilot with the 9th Transport Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina, reported a UFO sighting while flying over Texarkana, Arkansas. Morrison described the object as grapefruit-sized, green with white exhaust. The object passed through the course of his aircraft. As it passed, Morrison's lights went out. The sighting lasted about ten seconds. Morrison reported the object made an almost vertical dive toward his aircraft at 10:00 p.m. as his lights went out. The Air Force evaluation was unknown.
