Summary
In December 1951, near Oak Ridge, Tennessee, a gray-white object was reported in the sky. It was smooth but not shiny and shaped roughly square. It moved at about the speed of a conventional aircraft and made no sound, smoke, or trail.
The object was seen to come out of the clouds for about 30 to 40 seconds and then go back into them. It was reported to come within about 200 feet of the ground and to make a circle. The cloud level was about 6,000 feet. Aircraft were sent to investigate but found no object. The Air Force listed the case as unidentified.
