Summary

On November 13, 1956, a civilian saw one object near Nekoosa, Wisconsin. The witness was a supervisor at a local store. The object was watched for about one minute.

The report described one long white light the size of a telephone pole two blocks away. The object had a tail as long as the object itself. It began with a bright flash, then descended in a straight line and faded out below the horizon. The sky was clear with good visibility.

The Air Force record card lists the cause as a meteor. The description, duration, flight path, and way the object disappeared all supported that finding. Project 10073 was the Air Force's official record system for reports of unidentified flying objects.
