Summary

On June 18, 1960, a U.S. Navy pilot was flying near Biga, Turkey, about 15 miles north of the town. The pilot reported that the sky was lit up by a bright light. The light came from behind the aircraft. The pilot could not tell which way the light was moving. This report was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. The Air Force concluded the sighting was probably astronomical. The card noted it was probably a meteor.
