Insufficient Data

Summary

On May 8, 1948, in Hobson, Ohio, an unidentified object was reported. The Air Force investigation concluded that the report was entirely inadequate for a conclusion. The phenomenon described resembled the observation of an airplane beacon or search light reflecting against an overcast. Such an object would be periodic, appear phosphorescent, travel at great speed, and be oval in shape. This interpretation would dismiss occasional bursting and disintegrating effects as subjective impression. However, weather conditions were not stated in the report.
