Summary
On July 6, 1955, at Manhasset (Roslyn), New York, a civilian reported one object. The sighting was seen from the ground and lasted about ten to twelve seconds.
The object was a single bright light that crossed the sky from west to east. It was estimated to be at 15,000 feet. There were local thunderstorms and cloud cover at 20,000 feet.
