Laguardia AP, New YorkMay 1955

Insufficient Data

Summary

On May 20, 1955, a civilian near Laguardia Airport, New York saw a single object at dusk. The observer used binoculars. The report was described as very scant.

The object was round and white. It was seen to move toward the east and then return.

The Air Force noted the sighting was near both Laguardia and Idlewild airports and happened near sunset. Because of this, the object was evaluated as probably an aircraft landing at one of those airports. The course of the object seemed to support this. No investigation was authorized. There was no report in the file.
