Summary

In September 1959, a witness in Kettering, Ohio observed six bright red objects in the evening sky. The objects were sharply outlined and made no sound. They moved upward, downward, and sideways before fading from view in the distance.

The witness completed a detailed Air Force questionnaire about the sighting. According to the form, the objects could have been the blinking lights of an aircraft. The sighting took place in an area where many aircraft pass overhead, and it occurred during twilight conditions. Based on these factors, the Air Force evaluator concluded the objects were "probably aircraft."
