Summary

On May 12, 1952, near Kenton, Ohio, a civilian commercial pilot and former Navy pilot reported an unidentified object. The sighting happened at 2116 (9:16 p.m.). The witness called the Air Technical Intelligence Center to report it.

The man said he saw an object flying to the north at an altitude over 20,000 feet, with an estimated speed of 500 to 600 miles per hour. He stated he was familiar with jet aircraft and that this was not a jet. The sky was clear with no overcast.

In a later call, the witness added that no vapor trail was seen and that he had sighted a similar object three times before. The record card describes the report as vague. No firm conclusion is marked.
