Summary

On October 1, 1953, at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, observers witnessed an unidentified object. One UFO was sighted in a direct direction at approximately 10:17 a.m. and was observed by aerobee rocket personnel. The object was described with a silvery hue and appeared in the vicinity of the rocket vapor trail. Observers watching from the base saw the object move southward, cross the vapor trail, veer back to the right, and ascend upward before disappearing in the vapor trail after approximately three minutes. The Air Force concluded the reported sighting was one of drifting balloons launched by the weather service at Holloman that morning.

11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS
A UFO was launched by meteorological personnel at Holloman. Very accurate records were available for the (with silver hue), and the object traveling in a direction, object was about 30 ft above balloon. to the right of vapor until crossing, it then veered back and went up vapor train.
