Summary
On September 27, 1958, military observers at the control tower of Glasgow Air Force Base, Montana, reported a light in the sky. The object was seen on three nights in a row.
The object was circular and yellowish-orange. It was about the size of a pinhead and looked brighter than a star. For a short time it appeared to twinkle. It was at about 10 degrees elevation and 45 degrees azimuth. It rose in elevation but did not change azimuth. The object did not otherwise move and was still visible at the last observation.
The weather was scattered clouds with no ground wind. The intercept director stated that after visual and radar investigation, he believed the object was a star. The report notes the location matched that of the star Arcturus. This case is part of Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.
