Summary

On September 30, 1957, at about 1800 (6:00 p.m.) in Claremont, California, a civilian saw one round object with a single wing. The body of the object was dark in color, except for yellow to orange balls of flame. The object was in sight for about ten minutes as it moved from east to west. The Air Force record card for Project 10073, its official record for unidentified flying object reports, lists the conclusion as probably aircraft. The card notes the office felt the source was not very reliable. It notes there was no report in the file.
