Summary

On May 10, 1954, at about 10:30 a.m. local time near East Point, Georgia, a civilian reported three objects flying in a V formation. The witness said each object was round, about 20 feet across, thick in the center and tapering to thinner edges, with a shiny look. The objects had no vapor trail and made no sound. They flew straight at about 4,000 feet, moving from northeast to southwest at an estimated 500 to 600 miles per hour. The weather was a bright, clear day with light wind. A cargo aircraft passed under the objects near the Atlanta airport. The witness was judged very reliable. The Air Force conclusion was probable aircraft.
