Insufficient Data

Summary

On January 21, 1953, a civilian man in Hiram, Georgia, saw a round object in the sky. The exact time of the sighting was not given in the report.

The object was round with a tail and was yellow in color. The witness said it was similar in size and shape to a hubcap. It left a trail of bright yellow fire. No propulsion system was observed and no sound was heard. The object flew in a straight path, bearing slightly downward, at a very slow speed.

The object was sighted north of the observer and traveled from south to north. It disappeared behind a cloud. The report was submitted through a local Air Force base.

Because the time was not specified, investigators said it was impossible to check local aircraft traffic or balloon releases. The record card lists the conclusion as insufficient data for evaluation.
